Operation Catnip Stillwater
Operation Catnip Stillwater is an OSU Foundations Organization serving the community of Stillwater, OK. Their purpose is to spay and neuter feral/community cats that roam our city. Every year thousands of cats are killed at shelters due to overcrowding or because they are not adoptable (not socialized to humans). Operation Catnip Stillwater plans to spay/neuter 100-200 cats per clinic. The clinics are held one Sunday each month of the school year.
How can you help? You can help trap cats with our trapping team, work at the trap depot, or work the clinics! The Trap Depot is located behind Stillwater's Animal Welfare and the clinics are held at OSU-CVM in the junior surgery area of the teaching hospital. You can help even if you have never sat foot in a clinic – we train on site! Rabies vaccines preferred, but not required. Like the Facebook page for up to date links to the volunteer sign up sheets!
