Katie Scott "Hello everyone! I am a Junior studying Animal Science with a Pre-Vet concentration and a minor in Microbiology. Along with my major I am also earning a certificate for Equine Enterprise and Management. I am originally from Edmond, Oklahoma which is about an hour south of Stillwater. Back at home I have a basset hound named Biscuit and a great dane named Cleo as my niece. During my time in Stillwater I enjoy playing polo with the Oklahoma State Polo club, Volunteering at Turning Point, and even cheering on our Oklahoma State Hockey team as an Ice Girl. Over the Summer I worked at Oakridge Equine Hospital as a veterinary assistant and I hope to gain more experience this upcoming Summer. Overall, I look forward to having a great year with the pre-vet club and GO POKES!!" Vice President Tessa Tronzano "Hey y’all! My name is Tessa, and I am a Junior majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet option. Additionally, I am in the Early Admission Program. Back in Texas I have a herd of Texas Longhorns, 5 sheep, some chickens, a Golden Retriever, a Border Collie and a pig. Outside of the Pre-Vet club I enjoy watching OSU football/hockey and showing cattle. Go Pokes!" Secretary Zoey Serapin "Howdy! My name is Zoey, and I am a sophomore majoring in Animal Science with the Pre-Vet option. I’m also a part of the Early Admission Program for OSU’s vet school. I’m from Wylie, Texas, and have two mini aussies named Ace and Raine back home. Outside of pre-vet club I help out in a research lab with swine and cattle projects, am a coordinator for the Operation Catnip trap team, and volunteer with Pete’s Pet Posse as a ruff rider. I can’t wait to see what each of you accomplish and help in whatever ways I can!" Membership Coordinator Olivia Musslewhite "Hey! My name is Olivia Musslewhite and I am a sophomore majoring in Animal Science with the pre vet option and a minor in Wildlife Ecology. I’m from Frisco, Texas so I did not get much experience with agriculture growing up, but I’m excited to learn as much as I can while I am here! My favorite classes are Chemistry related, and I love to study with friends (especially at coffee shops). In my free time I like to write songs and participate in events for my college ministry. I am part of the 3+1 program, so I will apply for vet school next fall! I’m hoping to one day work with wildlife through One Health to bridge the gap between animal medicine, human medicine, and our environment. I can’t wait to chat with you more!" Treasurer Jessica Dougan "Hey y’all! My name is Jessica Dougan, I’m serving as the Pre Vet Club’s Treasurer. I’m a Senior majoring in Animal Science Pre Vet. I originally started on the 3 + 1 track and then ended up graduating a year early. I have 2 dogs that live with me in Stillwater, a golden retriever & a cocker spaniel. Back home in Mustang, OK my family raises cattle & I have a one eyed horse! On school breaks I love working at my clinic back home, where they specialize in holistic and traditional medicine. I am also apart of the Oklahoma State Tri Delta sorority & am currently tasked with our fundraising for St. Jude. I’m so excited to be the treasurer this year & can’t wait to meet all of you!! Go Pokes!!" Assistant Treasurer Mackenzie Phillips "Hi! My name is Mackenzie Phillips and I am a sophomore majoring in animal science with the pre-vet option. I am from Texas, and back home I have two miniature schnauzers named Sophie and Abby. I didn't grow up around large animals so I am looking for every opportunity to get involved! I am currently doing extension research with beef cattle and enjoying volunteering at Tiny Paws and shadowing at local vet clinics. I am looking forward to a great year with the pre-vet club and go pokes!" Reporter Emma Graddy "Hey! I am Emma Graddy. I am serving as your Pre-Vet club reporter today. I will be running the website as well as the social media pages, so please feel free to contact me with any questions! I am from Harrison, Arkansas and this is my junior year at Oklahoma State. In my free time I enjoy studying, teaching my dogs new tricks, and helping my family out on the family farm. I’m so excited to serve on the officer team this year and can’t wait to see what fun activities we have planned for you guys! Go Pokes!! 🧡👉🏾" Historian Sydney Speer "Hello everyone! My name is Sydney Speer and I am a Senior studying Animal Science with a Pre-Vet concentration. I am currently in the Early Admission program for Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. My hometown is Frisco, TX! I love paddleboarding, hiking, and drawing in my free time. Over the summer, I worked overnight shifts as a junior technician at Frisco Emergency Pet Care, which is a 24-hour emergency animal clinic. I look forward to working with you all and I hope everyone has an amazing year! Go Pokes!" Event Coordinator Amber Meeker "Hey! I am a sophomore Zoology: Pre-vet major also getting a minor in neuroscience. I am hoping to go into zoo medicine. I also volunteer at the Grey Snow Eagle House and Turning Point Ranch. Last year I was a freshman research scholar, and I am still doing research this semester in the same lab. I am originally from Anderson, South Carolina. Many of you are probably wondering what brought me here. I came to OSU because I fell in love with the campus when I decided to come tour a college with an attached vet school as I was in Oklahoma City for a horseshow. The second I walked on campus, I knew I had to come here, Go Pokes! Another fun fact about me is I have a German shepherd mix puppy named Bear. Over the summer, I worked as a research assistant on campus and volunteered at Grey Snow Eagle House. I can’t wait to see you all at Pre-vet Club! " Ag Council Representatives Austin Caraway "Howdy guys! My name is Austin Caraway, I am a sophomore studying Animal Science with a Pre-Vet concentration. I am from Tishomingo, Oklahoma which is about two and a half to three hours south of Stillwater. Back home I would spend my time volunteering and working my EMS job as an EMT. During my time in Stillwater I enjoy serving as one of the volunteer coordinator for OCS (Operation Catnip) and serving as a small group leader for my campus ministry group along with just getting to meet new people. Over the Summer I spent my time volunteering at events, visiting zoos and working my job as an EMT. Overall, I look forward to having a great year with the pre-vet club and GO POKES!!" Austin Flood "Hey Y'all! I am a second-year Junior studying Animal Science with a Pre-Vet concentration. I am originally from a small town in Northern California called Cottonwood which is about an 3 hours north of the capital, Sacramento. Back home my family owns and operates a Purebred Black Angus Seedstock Cattle Operation. Here in Stillwater, I am a coordinator for Operation Catnip Stillwater's Trap Team as well as an Early Admit for OSU CVM, so if you have questions about either feel free to ask me anytime! Over the Summer I worked back home at a 10-doctor emergency small animal clinic as a veterinary technician and I hope to gain more experience this upcoming Summer.
